Maybe it would be an idea to play both Fryatt and Horsfield up front together and Hume in behind them:102:

We need Horsfield on saturday as I think he can really ruffle the PNE central defenders who I believe can be quite lghtweight and inexperienced. If Mattock and Newton can supply plenty of quality crosses then the Horse could have a field day against Chilvers / St Ledger and / or Wilson.

I think its a game we should go out and try and attack from the beginning,I see no point in sitting back and playing for a draw because we aren't capable of holding on.

We do, however, need to protect our goal difference

We might well need it

I would like to see them two up front and hume pushed out on the right, he isn’t looking like scoring at the mo but he is quick, lively and can hit a decent cross. He can then back up the strikers as a third man as and when needed.

I don't agree at all, but there you go.

1st Half Fryatt looked our only threat, that didn't change when Horsefield came on. I find it hard to see how he put more pressure on their defenders when all he can do is grab them and wrestle with them unless that is your idea of pressure. Most centre halves prefer a trial of strength to a bit of movement and skill.

Chasing the game and lumping balls up hopefully for the last 20 minutes is different to doing it all game, and even if we did Horsefield isn't fit enough to do it.

The Horse won us 3 free kicks outside the area one of which resulted in a goal.

4-4-2 For me, 3-5-2 has been found out, and we don't have the time or players to shift to the new-fangled 4-5-1/4-3-3 system.

I don't get all this support for Mattock, thought he did ok on Tuesday but with good reason looked out of his depth.

i don't think he looked out of depth at all. In fact he looked more comfortable on the ball than most of the team and did what he needed to do without panicking.

There you go then, I thought his passing and crossing was pretty poor, tackling was good all round though. Unfortunately too good when Cadamarteri made his mazy run down the left and was about to shoot.

I don't agree at all. I thought that he looked the most effective left sided payer we've seen there all season.

The following have all played on our left side this season and largely disappointed - Johannson, Stearman, Maybury, Tiatto, Hughes, Porter, Yeates, Welsh, Kenton.

It's not as if we've got better options.
