Just got back home, a much better performance than Saturday, mainly due to the change in formation. Blackpool played ok but i was never worried after we scored.

Walker - 6 not much to do but installs me and the team with confidence , IMO our number 1, please take a pay cut Ian.

Maybury -6 did ok defensively, didnt get forward much

Dabizas - 6 a few needless fouls but a solid performance

Heath - 6 good game and has a pace advantage over his older rivals, worth a run in the team.

Stewart - 7 defensively good, didnt get forward but coped well with their dangerman Parker.

Gillespie -6 did well when he had the ball at his feet but too often it was bouncing around him in the wind, tracked back well.

Gudjohnsen -8 MOTM for me, mainly becauseof his great goal but his overall performance was good, never stopped all night.

Williams -7 good performance alongside Joey, put his foot in and the home fans wanted him sent off. This midfield partnership is young and looks good.

Scowcroft -5 missed an easy header in the first half, switched wings withGillespie a few times but was crap on both sides.

Dublin -5 got a lot of stick from the home fans, for being a "has-been". tend to agree , he is better at the back, or even better at another club.

Connolly -7 ran his heart out again, should have scored at least one tonight, but we wont see the best of him until we improve the service.

Nalis -6 came on for Dublin and went left midfield, did ok, nothing more than a squad player.
Wright - 6 on for Connolly for the last few minutes missed a good chance.

Overall a fairly comfortable win , the pitch was ok and the weather better than expected although I was in the home stand so i didnt get wet!.

Not many Leicester fans turned up and made little noise, in fact ive never been to a game where weve had so few fans, and thats in more than 30 years supporting us.

Still, im not bothered we won and i got away without having to face any humiliation from my mates.

A cold winters night in Blackpool hardly suprising.
Expect us to take loads to Reading. A good stadium and a Saturday match.I think we should sell our allocation easily.
I fancy us against them and its quite a lucky ground for us. :D

I thought it was a decent turnout, I've certainly been to games with a lot less fans than that.

tEAM RATINGS

The main reason for me mentioning the support was that the news here in Blackpool was that we had sold all our allocation, i suppose i was a bit shocked, but well done to all of you who made the journey, it was worth it just for the goal, hope you had a few pints in town afterwards.

Walker 8 - Glad to see him back - pulled off a couple of good saves in the
first half - looks solid - did nothing wrong
Maybury 6 -did all right - difficult to judge whether he is going to be better
than Canero
Dabizas 6 - Average performance but didn't do to bad
Heath 7 - Looks a lot better than Dublin and Keown - can only get better
if given a decent run in the first team
Stewart 7 - Looks class (sometimes)
Gillespie 5 - Couldn't beat an egg but theatened to
Gudjonsen 8 - One of his best games and scored a brilliant goal
Williams 7 - Looks to be improving
Scowcroft 5 - Very disappointing - missed what looked to be an open goal
just before half time and in general was ineffective
Dublin 3 - Whats this bloke doing still playing football!!!
Connelly 6- Wasn't impressed but then again what do you expect when
he might as well be playing up front on his own

Nalis 6 - did ok when he came on
Wright 6 - did ok but was only on for a few mins - had a good shot
well saved in the last min and generally looks a lot more
mobile than Dublin - but then again so would me mum

A poor game but we look comfortable for most of the game - can't be to down beat as this was a potential banana skin for us - The younger players did well for us Stewart, Heath and Williams all played well and it was good to see Walker back in goal but will he be here next season

Stewart - 5
Dabizas - 5
Heath - 5
Gillespie - 5
Scowcroft - 4

Support wasn't too bad, I reckon there was atleast 1,500 of us.

Was great of Davies to come on the coaches at the end, He's a great bloke.

More like 1,000.

But that's more than Blackpool were expecting. They had a net thing covering some of the seats, near the half way line, but it meant some of the tickets that had been sold were for seats in the area that had been cordoned off.

Shame he's penning contracts to let the Tigers fook up our pitch isn't it.
