I don't understand why people are on MDV's back so much. Admittedly I havn't seen him other than the Sheff Utd game this season, but he's sounded much improved over last season, and so far this season has scored 3 goals from 6 starts (and 2 sub appearances). That's pretty good for a player who isn't an out and out goalscorer, and is a player who will hold the ball up and bring others into play, rather than scoring himself. If he kept that up over the season, with 3 goals from 8 appearances, then he'd finish the season with about 17 goals, which I'd very happy with!

Quite right graz. if MDV hits 17 this season i'd be well pleased. and if hume/elvis gets around the same i'd be well happy. :)

Sounds good to me, assuming Levein means Hughes of course and not Kisnorbo.

I thought Kisnorbo had only played one match, nothing like a snap judgement.

I have wanted Hughes to play central midfield for a long time and so when Levein talks about someone coming in and keeping their place I hope that he means that if Hughes plays well against Wolves he will stay in his proper position in the middle of the pitch. My concern over Kisnorbo was because Hughes has just played two games in a row and so could already be said to be 'keeping his place' therefore Levein might have been refering to Kisnorbo instead in which case Hughes would be shoved out onto the wing again when Williams returns.

Here's my team:

..........................Douglas

..........................Dublin
.............McCarthy.....Nils
Maybury...........................Sheehan
...................Joey.....Hughes
.........................Hume
.............Hammond....De Vries

Maybe have Tiatto at LWB or centre-mid...

You won't give up on a 5-3-2 will you. ;)

Okay, according to the OS now, Williams WILL be fit to play against Wolves, but Tiatto won't be ready until at least the Blackpool game.

Translated - we now can't afford to punish Williams by dropping him for Saturday as Tiatto isn't fit, which we hadn't banked on.

Or Williams has now apologised to Mr CL and the loan deal that was gonna see Williams leave has fallen through and Mr CL has realised that the squad isnt as big as he thought.

Why would we want to get rid of Williams?
never said we did. but if Willams was pi**ed off at being subbed it could of happened.

TommyK said:
Yeah, it could. but letting him go out on loan would be crazy!
totally agree.
