Call me a cynic, but why do I get the feeling we are signing players based on their nationalities to boost King Power's brand rather than signing them their ability as footballers? :icon_conf

Youv'e got to go with it mate - forget 'Leicester Fosse', forget 'Leicester City'. We are 'King Power City' now - and this is the brand that will make us one of the top 30 soccer brand names in the Far East (well some little bits of it anyway).

Basically because we are.

But also you're a cynical so and so.

In some ways, couldn't this perhaps be the main reason that we've been so bad?

Sousa is not totally in charge anyway...

He has to manage, in the knowledge that other people (i.e. the owners) have the powers to bring in players from the Far East who he himself would never have signed. We also know Thai players are being brought into the youth academy. This must surely have a negative impact on his ability to do his job. He's not been given the freedom to shape his own team.

Once again, utter garbage. Why do you people peddle this crap when the facts say otherwise? Sousa made it clear that he had been a long time admirer of Abe and had followed his progress for over a year. Get your facts right or keep your inane comments to yourself.

I still think Sousa should be sacked or resign so I'm not defending him in any way....

And you believe that? As you are suggesting that FR is peddling garbage/crap and "the facts say otherwise", you can point us to some evidence of this. And I don't mean a quote of Sousa saying such now because Sousa will say anything that he is paid to say.

Indeed. I suppose Sousa has also been a long term admirer of the chinese and south korean players that are set to join.

The comment about the forthcoming arrivals is the single most damaging comment to eminate from this whole debacle. Clear indication of interference from board level in team matters.

Precisely.

If Sousa made the statement or it was attributed to him then they are words planted by the reps of the owners.

Who knows or even cares what Sousa says or is told to say. We only need to compare football outcomes with last season and look at the numbers in the league table.

Its obvious from his post-match comments particularly after last Friday's game, that he isn't going to exactly tell it how it is.

He's obviously changed since he was at QPR then. He was sacked for telling the press about a transfer that was made behind his back.

Ha - yes, I'd forgotten about that.
