Thatcher for England?

After the hype this week maybe Thatcher is good enough for England! I think he is better than Upson, who sometimes seems to lack awareness and has looked out of his depth for England! Ben could also play at left back and he is a better defender than Cole or Bridge, it' just whether Sveb believes he is good enough on the ball or not! I think he should be given the chance and I thought so a couple of years ago when he was at Spurs!! What do you reckon boys?!

To be fair he did get caught out too much in my opinion on his side against blackburn. While he has been our best player in the division thus far, i'm not sure he is good enough to make the step up to international level. I am one of his biggest fans and i like his style of play, no messing, but i don't think that would suit international football which suits the more classy type of player.

Fair comment, which is why I don' think he would be considered for left back!

How many times have you seen Cole and Bridge caught out? Thatcher is a much better defender than those two. But, I also think he does equally as well as centre back.
