I’ve been job hunting for a couple of months now.

A few weeks ago an agency sent me to an interview for a job I could have done backwards with my eyes shut. It was a fair bit lower paid than I really need to pay my bills, but I thought I’d give it a go. It’s just a few months, after all.

So the employer interviewed, by all accounts, multiple excellent candidates over a period of a couple of weeks, including me. The feedback I got specifically was very positive. I had a good feel about it too, the interviewers were decent enough, seemed pretty switched on.

Ultimately, however, they decided to hire… nobody, and then immediately re-listed the job. Total ****ing waste of everyone’s time.

Would anyone be surprised to learn this interview was with LCFC?

Maybe they didn't appreciate you calling yourself an excellent candidate?

Here they say "Yeh-Nah" which kind of sums me up. I'm not quite resigned to going down yet. Tbh, the only reason I don't want to relegated is because you don't get the coverage in the lower leagues. I did live back home when we were in league 1 and that was quite a happy time. I loved some of those away days at real football grounds, and at home singing 1-0 in your big day out, 1-0 down, who gives a ****, etc. My most memorable games were the local derby's. It doesn't matter where you play, or how good our squad is, when you win its the best day ever and when you lose it ****s up your whole weekend.
