I think you can be sure that they are being written by Martin Allen. He used to do it at MKDons - you can see the proof on their site. Why should he not be doing the same thing here?

Even though I was a bit unsure of him coming here, I do like how he is going about things so far, especially how he uses the OS so that we know what's going on first for a change instead of two weeks officially after everyone else!

Doesn't look like anything's changed in terms of the timings as far as I can see.

The N'Gotty thing was apparently a done deal last week, according to some sites, and the keeper signing was reported elsewhere yesterday.

What the OS does, and always has, is announces things once the deal has been completed and everything confirmed and signed, whereas other sites will report it sooner.
The OS started adding the time a deal was actually completed into their reports so people could see that it was being reported as soon as it had been completed, and not in anticipation.

It's OK for other sites to report stuff early that they think is about to happen, but if the OS did it they'd get slated for it, so they're in a no win situation really.

Agree with Jeff. As long as they do it as soon as possible after the deal is done that's all they can do. They did it with McAteer and got slated, so they should be expected to be cautious.

Any Leics CCC supporters our there following their official site until this year will know what a really bad official website is like, and even now they are slow to put some stuff up - which is inexcusable in this day and age.

Maybe not the right thread for it, but since the OS changed the layout, it doesn't work very well with newsnow.co.uk. There are simply no news from the OS if you search for "Leicester+City" which is my start page. It all worked well before.

I didn't mean it that way, I meant that it's nice to see Allen use the site to let us know what's going on when over the past few years, we have known officially from elsewhere stuff before the OS tells us(and I mean interviews and press conferences on RL etc...we've had those in the past where it's been hours before anything was posted on the homepage.
Take the Academy final the other week, imo the coverage of that was shoddily handled by our OS.

It's also refreshing to see him take the lead in making sure the stories are on there as soon as they can be, certainly a different approach from any of the other blokes we've had here in the last few years!
