I think today's match with west brom will be a season turner, as confidence plays a big part in any team we need a good result as we have matches coming thick and fast this month, and not easy ones at that, i believe if we get a win , well challenge the promotion places and finish 1-8, if we draw i think well finish 9-16 and if we lose 17-24 (a season of stuggle yet again, i hope not). So lets get behind the team today and get a win the baggies have loads of injury problems, i peronally think well change it round today and get the win! and well all be happy by 4 o clock and tucking into out chocoalte gateaux's with smiley faces :icon_bigg, leicestershire la la la la leicestershite la la la!

Re: The Crucuial Match

and well all be happy by 4 o clock

Yeah, but a delayed second half and added time might take us until ten past four.

Let's agree that as long as we are all happy by quarter past (to be on the safe side) we will be OK :)

That has to be the most stupid thing I have ever heard..........

lets have some support for christ sake, its ppl like u why were in the pos we are, not gettin behind the boys! LIVEN UP!!!!:icon_roll

Re: The Crucuial Match

My only fear is that last season the Baggies were the only ones to visit the Walkers that looked like a really good team. I only hope they are severely weakened by injuries this time to give us a chance. Of course the 'senior pros' could heed Ollie's words and actually stand up to the plate for a change! They all manage it when in the shop window against Villa and Chelsea!

Re: The Crucuial Match

This match isn't crucial.

It's a mid season match that can neither see us rise too far, nor drop into a different league.

If our season is based upon this one game, then why employ a new manager just for that one game.

I wouldn't like to think that if we lose today that our players and manager would give the season up.

Re: The Crucuial Match

I don't see this as a one off crucial game. It is important that we start to make the Walkers a ground that other teams do not fancy visiting. The sooner this starts, the better but, to make this the match that, were we to lose, the bottom falls out of our season, is a trifle OTT.
It is true that we could make a play off spot this season, but it is exceedingly unlikely. I think we should aim to put together a squad, a fan base and a record that suggests that we will be a Championship power-base next season.
I do, however, support your 'get behind the lads' call: although the vast majority do that anyway!

So I'm not supporting the team because I said that what you said was the stupidest thing I've ever heard? Right......... :icon_roll

Surely its "ppl like u why were in the pos we are, not gettin behind the boys" when you have said that if we lose this game we will finish right near the bottom. :icon_roll

Re: The Crucuial Match

It's a nothing game, just like every other game involving Leicester 'mediocre' City.

We will do nothing this season, it will mirror every other season of the last 3 years and everyone will be left dissapointed because they still (for some ridiculous reason) have not come to terms with the fact that we are indeed nothing more than a poor to average championship side.

We will lose, we will be shit, and it will be all the fans fault, just like the last 6 years.

That is exactly what I wanted to post but couldn't be bothered to argue with the BM's and put them in their place. Thanks Lako :023:

Re: The Crucuial Match

I think if we score in the 27th minute it means we will go up automatically. If the ball ricochets off Cort's left buttock then we will win the Premiership next season.

Re: The Crucuial Match

The gap between us and the top six is widening and the relegation zone is only 4 pts away. So I guess it's important that we get a good result if only to keep our heads above water so to speak. West Brom have scored more goals in this league than any other team this year and I'm guessing they're going to be attacking from the outset. It will be interesting to see who Holloway has in the starting line-up today. I just hope we don't try and play for a draw as those tactics have a habit of backfiring, especially against a team that is capable of knocking in plenty of goals.

if we lose 17-24 (a season of stuggle yet again, i hope not).
Well, that's us f*cked then.

I fancy doing a Leeds tour of small-time teams next season anyway - I'm piss bored with losing to this Championship shower of shite season in season out.
