We aren't hiding, just planning the next cycle in the life of the Trust.

Our AGM is coming up on Mon Feb 26th, so we are working on proposals to put forward to our members on what our main focus should be in the near & medium future.

Following feedback from our members we will then progress those plans.

... and there is a 5 a side tournament to organise

I think if the foxes trust were to act more as a fans representative with no board presence I would be more tempted to join.

That's me, Homer, Melts and Fcukcov all vying for the big FT join up.....

Whoah there...

Fecking hell, I am not sure the Foxes Trust is ready for Melts, Alex and Homer as members!

Dear FT don't do it, stay on the Board. You do not know what you doing if this is the level of membership you would seek to attract. Trust me, you will never be that desperate for members!

And you, a Houghton resident. I thought higher of you.....

Could be quite a while before they receive anything for their shares, so they're not rich.

But surely they got gold bars handed to them on match days, not just a free programme.

or maybe they know theyll get ridiculed and slaughtered by some on here :102:

hope not. I would hope that any criticism has been entirely constructive!

To be slightly serious they do have a problem.

I think that the concept of a football trust is founded in the idea of fans getting together and playing a key role in the way a club develops. This can work very well when there is no realistic prospect or alternatively no wish for any individual or small group of stakeholders to control the club. A sort of community organisation owning its own community football club.

Unfortunately, i think it works less well when the club has big time ambitions because that needs investment/ ownership by an individual or small group or can be confident of controlling their own destiny. I think it works still less well if a relatively small organisation (like the FT) purports to represents fans' views.

I think the FT faces some difficult strategic decisions now and they will do well to come up with a convincing new role.

I think a few of our female members may be keen on washing the players.....

Re Drew's question.
We can't have free membership, as each membership fee includes £1 to have an equal share in ownership of the Trust.

Reduced membership fees will be discussed, but having processed renewals for the 06/07 season for many members now, that would have to be introduced next year if we go for that option

I don' mind paying, it goes wthout saying. But why would I want a % ownership, I just want to be a member if I agree with the new policies not owner
