Thought this would be a cool idea for people to list some bargains that they find every now and then.

I'll get the ball rolling. At the moment Dixon's are selling the excellent Super Smash Bros on the Wii for £3.99 - bargain!

Not sure how long it will be in stock but probably not long!

HMV? I bought a CD for my wife at Xmas from HMV for £9.99. My mum bought the same CD for my sister from Amazon for £5.99. That is more likely to be the reason.

And they are sometimes cheaper...


I bought a book from HMV for £2 last month.

Amazon don't have it in stock but it's available through a couple of sellers for £16.99 plus delivery. The cheapest one on eBay is £9.99.

I should have bought their whole stock to resell.

Not everyone has the latest console and can afford the latest games. A good game is a good game, however old it is.

But that doesn't make it "pointless".

It's like saying the 2008/09 LCFC DVD is pointless because there's a newer one. I bet you still watch it every night though...

I bet I don't even own a copy :icon_redf I get your point there, and I'm all for retro games, but I'm sure '08 and probably even '09 are available for not much more.

I'm pretty sure I'd even get bored quickly if I had a copy of '11; I usually do with the latest FIFA.

I did but only as a last minute Xmas gift. I would normally buy from play or amazon and occasionally Tesco. All generally cheaper than HMV.

Currys have a few deals, a fiver for Halo 3 is a good deal IMO as well, despite Halo Reach being it now I bet Halo 3 still has a large online community and it had a decent single player.

Anybody manage to nab a copy of smash bros before it sold out? Thought that was a steal at £4 new for one of the best wii games. Would imagine you'd be looking at £10-15 for it now...
