Nope, I've tried again and still don't understand what you're going on about.
He signed for us in June 2019. For the season 19/20, he was nothing much. In fact, he looked out of his depth for quite a while. That's why he couldn't get into the team. He played in about a third of our PL games that season. So do we agree he was nothing special and mainly a back up player that year? Ricardo and Fuchs were the main guys.
He got into the side in Sept 2020 and was excellent until getting injured in Feb 2021. That's the six months I was going on about. We agree that he was great then!
Then he was injured for a year and came back in Jan 2022 and was shite for that terrible relegation run in (22/23). He was then shite last year in the Championship (23/24) and has been shite again this season (24/25).
That's six months out of five and half years where he's been great. Hence my suggestion that this is the unusual period and we shouldn't necessarily expect him to be that 'six month player' again.
What am I missing?
