It has improved immensely since I started watching it about 15 years ago.

One thing that is never mentioned when people carry on about it being an easy retirement is that it is an extremely tough league to play in. The teams often have to travel very long distances to away games and most teams don't fly charter or first class. Also playing in Florida in the middle of summer is no joke, especially if you've travelled from Montreal or Toronto the day before.

Ture, I do wonder about this with US sports leagues. How do NBA and MLB teams play as many games as they do? Bonkers.

MLB and NBA are much richer sports, the players will be much better looked after. Also there is a difference, with basketball being indoors and although the game is much longer the physical exertion is as constant in baseball as football or basketball.
