The hysterically annoying and totally unfounded, but traditional, January 2025 rumours thread.

I think the point is that that investment doesn't help increase our revenue like improving stadium and supporter numbers would.
Fair enough, although to play Devil's Avocado, the decrease in stadium availability for a year or two of construction work would likely have had a knock-on for revenue and supporter numbers in the short term that we're talking over too

Devil's.... what... ?

A possible indicator of why we've turned to shit.

A lot of fans, including me, will look at that with astonishment. How on Earth have we spent less than anyone else yet exceeded the financial rules by so much that we are being penalised at every turn?

Surely there is more to it than just big wages. Is our wage bill substantially more than at other clubs? I just don't get it and neither does anyone else I know.

Wage bill I'm afraid. It's obscene.

It's why the players and staff love the owner.

It's why nobody wants to leave.

"Join LCFC and get far more than anyone else would ever pay you".

The only contributions I can really remember from him is him giving a few penalties away that cost us points.

£5m, plus bonuses a year for being shite at football but supposedly good around the squad.....

I honestly think Dawson would have been a much better influence on the squad as he leads by example and actually puts in some decent and committed performances.

What is the actual ROI on that training ground at this point?

Since it was opened have we sold or promoted anyone from the academy in any meaningful way? Has our general performance improved? Has it allowed us to make signings we would have struggled to do so otherwise?

****ing shit strategy.

None of those, but if we ever get sponsored by Office Depot we will be able to host a great dinner for them!

No, but we have had some promising young players stolen from us by bigger boys.

See Monga imminently.

Well, a competent business would have, at the very least, got certain parts of the training centre paid for via sponsorships and partnership.

I bet we haven't lifted a finger there, either.

I'm so fed up with the leadership.
