As for the Killers, I liked the first 4/5 songs off the first and then it went downhill, and then i saw them live at Rock City headlining the NME tour with support from the Kaiser Chiefs, Bloc Party and Futureheads, all of whom were superb whilst the Killers were crap.

I like "When You Were Young" though.

I think it's an excellent album. It shits all over the Killers new one and Kasabians. Everyone has there own taste though.

Fair enough, I critcised Razorlight's album before I heard but now I have heard at least I can say IMO its nonsense.
 
Sam's Town arrived this morning, listened to the first 6 songs so far, When You Were Young and Sam's Town are good, the rest are average. I've heard good reviews about Uncle Jonny as well, that's the next song on the list to listen to.

Listened to it a couple of times tonight.

The album is growing on me.
 
i must say i am disappointed. i've listened to it a few times now and barely any of the songs have excited me. i think they've gone too serious.
 
It's a grower, but seeing as I thought it was below average to start with, it's only risen to average/slightly above average through the improvement.

it's OK, but no Hot Fuss. And tbh is the culmination (hopefully) of a couple of disappointing purchases (Razorlight - pure muzak, Killers - bleh)... the best new album I have bought over the last moth or so is Scissor Sisters!
 
i must say, after a few weeks of listening, it's fast becoming the only album i have on in the car.

Love it.
