But I bet the players he didn't take to the world club championship would have been as good as the team he put out against Exeter.

Not so sure about that. Man u Chelsea and Arsenal would still play weakened teams because they are not likely to finish out of the top 4 in the prem . A deduction of league points might make them take notice.
