sorry, i know it's been mentioned before...

but can someone unequivocally state the loan rules in the championship please

seeing as our entire squad is loanees

Key highlights are:

- No more than 5 loan players in a match squad
- A club can have a maximum of 4 Players under 23 and a further 4 Players over 23 on loan (ie max of 8 players on loan)
- No more than 4 loans in from a single club (of which only 2 may be over 23)

I think overseas loans are excluded from the above totals

Feel free to correct / improve on my summary as I am no expert.

ok so our loanees are:-

Vitor (Benfica , u23)
Naughton (Spurs u23)
Davies (Villa)
Cunningham (Man City u23)
Bednar (WBA)

so we can get three more, only one of which can be under 23

and Bednar in mondays squad, but no more loans! btw i may be be wrong Bednar is foreign so doesnt count in numerical limit

Bednar counts as he is from West Brom (its the loaning club not the player which needs to be foreign)

The above 4 + 4 maximum is only in respect of standard loans. There is no limit on the number of emergency loans and youth loans. Some of our loans are emergency loans.

If you want to explain the loan system, you need to read and quote the whole of the relevant regulations not just an odd paragraph.

I may be wrong but I think the matchday squad rule doesn't take account of where they come from, otherwise you could have a complete squad of loan players

DD's correct I am sure of it. 5 loan players from British clubs is the max per matchday squad.

But a lot of sources on the net are unspecific...so I could be wrong.
