Melton Fox

Dancing Queen
I have it on good authority that the other consortium isn't a rumour but is a very serious investor!

Any guesses?

My guess is Teachers, they already own the ground.

I thought the other consortium was supposed to be midlands based?

It has gone quiet on the 'other' interested parties, so have you heard something new Melts? Reading between the lines the delay on the MM bid could be to do with another interested party?

As I understand it the only serious opposition MM has is from a consortium of existing shareholders, those shareholders with serious money of course, if they have the foresight or can be convinced that it makes sound financial sence.

So would add fuel to the fire on city delaying any takeover from MM stories, although not actually city, but a group of shareholders.

I don't quite see how the club have delayed the DD process, after all we gave MM access to the books 6 weeks ago and he has only just produced his final bid.

It can quite easily be argued that it suited MM to delay putting in his bid because it backs the shareholders into a corner with the transfer window closing at the end of the month. If he had submitted his bid a month ago he would have given the shareholders 2 months with which to work on any other options.

He did, however, say in an interview on RL on the day that he was given the green light, that he wanted to be in control before the start of Jan so that he could help out the manager improve the squad. So any delay would be counterproductive (as we are seeing now) to his wish to help the manager in the transfer window.

I have heard that 5 of the current shareholders are actually richer than MM. I dont trust MM and tbh I would prefer it to come out of the current shareholders if they are willing to invest as much as mm claims he is.

Then let them come forward or for ever hold their peace. ;)

I don't want any more money going into this club if the current regime and their policies are in charge

maybe only Martin George, but a lot of his wealth is tied up and not easily got to

Tim Davis has to go, no matter what. He is shockingly poor at his job. And I would doubt these people will invest with the current set up at the club.

Isn't The Carphone Warehouse guy there? Hes worth in excess of £500 million.

Who has told you that, bit of libel there I think

Absolutely.

We have heard rumours that some of the existing shareholders would like to put significant investment into the club but were put off by the 10% rule.

Well now thay can have the whole club for £1/2m, unless the rumours were a load of rubbish of course.
