Mockery reporting a done deal with MM in place before Colchester game
Absolutely.
We have heard rumours that some of the existing shareholders would like to put significant investment into the club but were put off by the 10% rule.
Well now thay can have the whole club for £1/2m, unless the rumours were a load of rubbish of course.
Basically, isn't the situation that the club today is worth significantly less than when it came out of Administration and that based on the playing and financial performances, it is highly probable that the downturn will continue?
If so - the club as it stands is a financial liability and unless there is substantial investment leading to a return to the Premiership within a reasonable period then all people would be doing is to pour more money down the drain.
We are back to the position where it is a case of speculating (including one assumes heavy borrowing) to accumulate.....and whilst MM can't be seen as a saviour, he looks the most likely bet for embarking on this highly risky path. We all know about the assets and the arguments re. selling the training ground and selling off the better players (not that I am convinced that any of them are worth much) but that could only be done once
I dissagree that we are in a worse financial position now than when we came out of administration, mainly because we are running close to break even operating profit, where as when we came out of administration we were running at a massive operating loss.
Why did we make a loss earlier then....?..
Nothing like the operating loss we were running at post admin.
