I wouldn't like to predict the result final test match, so how about the following:

1 By the end of day 3, England are 99 for 9 in their 2nd innings needing another 200 just to make the Aussies bat again. Day 4 is washed out.Day 5 it rains till tea. On resumption Harmison and Hoggard put on a 100 before the umpire calls time, and the Aussies leave the field crying and moaning about the English weather.

2 In a super tight and tense finish. The Aussies with 9wkts down have Ponting and McGrath at the crease. Ponting smashes Harmison over the top for six to level the scores. The smug Aussie captain punches the air knowing that 1 more run wins both the test and the Ashes. Going for a quick single Ponting flattens McGrath in trying to get down the other end. Sub fielder Gary Pratt knocks the bails off and the Aussies leave the field crying and moaning about the improper use of sub fielders.

3 No tight and tense finish . The Aussies are on the way home on Saturday night, after part time bowlers Vaughan and Bell take all 10 wkts.
England regain the Ashes and the Aussies board their plane crying and moaning about the weather, sub fielders, Welshmen and South Africans, umpires, English fans and anything else rather than accept that they were beaten by the better side.

How about a simple England win. ;)

haha, nice thread :)

In an ideal world there would be no pressure. Three test matches at Edgbaston, Old Traffold and Trent Bridge have ended so dramatically that i ruined my manicure :(

It'll be nice if by Saturday tea we'll know that the ashes are in our hands. Either by us putting on 700 in the first innings or by rain washing out the first three days :)
