The problem with the internet is that anyone can publish what they want (even me!) - and if they appear to be able to string a few sentences together people will take them seriously - even if the content of their writing is illogical and contradictory.
Here's a good example - an article by Mr/s Thracian:
http://www.leicester.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=6645&c=
One of his/her complaints was about players being played out of position today.
As far as I could see, we didn't have many players out of position today. Hughes played on the right of midfield, a position where he's done alright in the past - and he was one of our better players today.
The other was Maybury at left back. He's played (and done very well) playing left back for his country, and played regularly at left back for Hearts. So he's hardly a fish out of water.
Everyone else was in their proper position. So I'd suggest that the position players were playing in today was not the problem.
But in the very same article he suggests playing Hume and Hammond in midfield. Two strikers, playing in midfield. So he's suggesting that the answer to the problem of playing players out of position, is to play other players out of position instead.
But there's more.
He suggests that MdV should have been partnered up front by... Chris O'Grady! "why leave O'Grady out with the goalscoring form he's in?.", he says.
The goalscoring form he's in. Hmm. Well he did score a couple for the reserves the other night...against a Palace back four with no league experience between them.
In 'proper' matches he's scored one goal in his last 11 games. Against Torquay. Some goalscoring form that is then.
