To have a resurgence you have to have actually been something in the first place. Sorry Ade, but your shite mate!

Stoke play him off the shoulder so why didn't we :?:

Stoke are set to sign Rob Hulse apparently so maybe Akinbiyi might be on his way.Personally I think Akinbiyi is a fecking terrible player, remember when we had him and Benjamin up front........

Silverfox - I agree with you, I think Ade is shite also. However he must have been something to warrant PT paying £5 million for him in the first place don't you think? I'm not saying that what ever he did would be valued at £5 million but he must have been doing something good, hence the resurgence quote....

I blame him totally for our demise which you can pinpoint to his miss of an absolute sitter in the FA cup against Wycombe. From that very minute the heart went out of the players. We lost the game, lost the next so many league matches and went into freefall. Peter Taylor lost the dressing room from then on and we never recovered....

You could play him half way down the back if you want Steven but the fact is he's still shite.

True, but he is playing better now than when he was at City.

I think Savage was the start of our downfall and Muzzy getting injured rather than Akimbadbuy, though he did nothing to help the cause. :? I remember Savage standing there having an argument with a Wycombe player and at that moment I knew Savage had lost it. :?

the freefall still hunts me, before the wycombe game we was high flying in the premiership, after the game our form plummeted for the next one and half season's.

I dont think Ade has had a resurgance, IMO all that has happened is he has dropped back down to his level and has done ok, but what has happened is that there isnt much money to play with at championship level so Ade fits into a lot of clubs budgets, therefore he becomes a wanted man. He has a reasonable record at this division and is affordable but even if we had the cash, I would not like to see him back.
