It has been announced that there will be no more replays in the 6th round of the FA Cup with four sudden death ties being spread across a single weekend. The draw will become all important with home teams having a much more significant advantage than hitherto.

I hate to say this but it makes sense.

Might even give more chances to the smaller clubs?

Yeah I think so too. Means they only have to cause an upset once rather than twice.

But, let's hope they don't scrap 3rd/4th/5th round replays in the years to come as it will massively affect lower league clubs who are desperate to get a game against one of the big clubs at Old Trafford, Anfield, the King Power etc. Earning a replay is a huge result for teams that need the money.
