Thought i'd start a thread for any travel related issues. If you have any questions, reviews, reccomendations, deals, etc. Some people might be heading off to a new place, and maybe someone could help them out with any queries they have.

I'll start the ball rolling.

I'm looking to head off to Tenerife around November time, and I'm looking to rent a car. I've been to Tenerife before (maybe 7 years ago), but I've never rented a car before. Can anyone help me with any tips or things I should be looking out for?

I've always used these people and never had any problems www.carjet.co.uk They appear to be cheaper than anywhere else I've tried and there's nothing else to pay when you pick up the car except fuel.

I'd looked at them before, and they were the leaders for my custom. Did you have to pay for fuel when you picked the car up? How much did it cost?

The tank will be full when you collect car. They will expect it to also be full when you return it.

Normally, they charge you for a full tank of fuel and then you return the car empty. The cost varies by car and I can't remember what it was. I think, when I went to Spain last October I paid around 35 Euros for a Citreon C4 (which I got as a free upgrade ... electronic everything ... from a Clio)

I have always used these both in the Canaries and on Mainland Spain and have been impressed with their service. Even when I smashed the rear winscreen, they simply said to return the car and they'd replace it, which they did, without question, in less than half an hour.
