To be fair I only remember Urban Hymns and think the album is brilliant, but reading the site linked on here it seems most big Verve fans hate Urban Hymns.

They're most cocks on that site anyways but Urban Hymns is when Ashcroft 'owned' the band. A Northern Soul is much better IMO

Awesome spaced out guitar stuff from McCabe on the video of 'This Is Music' off that article.

Went down when McCabe left, although capable of the odd Britpop classic.

Lucky Man is one of them songs that reminds of when everything was great in life.
Being only about 12 I was about to start secondary school and life was brilliant.

One of them songs that is sort of a landmark in your life.
