If someone (not me obviously, not a chance, no way) where to give their son's under 12 ST card to an OAP instead - would anyone be able to tell ?

Not that anyone is ever there checking, most of the time, but doesn't it just come up green light for an adult, and green and orange light for a concession ? And therefore wouldn't an OAP card come up with the same light as an under 12 card ?

It's a purely hypothetical question, obviously, and in no way could this ever be a real event, and definitely not tomorrow afternoon.

I suppose it's quite possible that a 12 year old could have a degenerative disease that makes him or her appear to have aged beyond their years.

Your hypothesis is correct.

The supervisors do have a little hand-held thingy that can check who it belong to but they do not stand around checking.

Maybe you could dress the OAP up in shorts and give them a satchel-type bag so they could perpetrate this ruse.

Hey! Hang on a minute...I swear I've seen someone fitting this description before.

S'true. He's added a cub scout cap to the ensemble and Asda think he's the shop boy & have him out doing deliveries on a bicycle.

May as well just upgrade the ticket as it entirely luck of the draw with regards to how strict the stewards are at that turnstile.

Only costs £2-3 to change it to a regular adult ticket so not worth the risk imo.

Good maths

It's from an under 12 to a senior citizen, so the difference is about fifteen quid

Sounds a ridiculous idea to me. The poor bastard would stick out like a sore thumb.

Yeah, reading properly would have been a good idea. :icon_redf

If it's an oldie trying to pull it off I say go for it and just play dumb. Bit more risky when you look like a young **** trying to use an OAP ticket though!

That's great news as you get one immorality unit for each pound saved.

The way i look at it, it's another fifteen quid loss for the club, which the Thais will cover with more loans, which they will make a nice 8% interest on

So I'm actually benefiting the club in the long term

I definitely didn't get away with this exact same thing twice last year when my son was in America. My 76 year old uncle looks his age too which I imagine would have helped.
