Regardless of our financial situation, I see no reason for us to believe that we are 'stuck' with Kelly.

Neither do I believe that he should be found a position within the club, he was Assistant under Levein and is now presiding over his own mess, the longer his tenure continues the more I am inclined to agree with Melts and BG that last seasons great escape was down to the players reaction to Levein leaving rather than the Kelly effect.

I hope Kelly will do the decent thing and resign on Monday, enabling the club to go out and appoint a proven manager.

There are a number of out of work managers at present, who would cost nothing in terms of compensation but could come in and IMO improve the club ten fold.

Nigel Worthington, Ian Dowie, Alan Curbishley (Dream), Glenn Hoddle, Joe Royle and possibly even Gary Megson are just a few names who could come in and IMO at least get us into a position where we would be competing at this level.

Out of those names only Curbishley (no chance) and Dowie are remotely appealing. Worthington or Megson?!?

I'm not sure how much choice RK had with picking the team yesterday, with injuries and all, though I would question why recall Dodds from loan and not find a place for him on the bench?

Far better options than our current incumbant, both have experienced promotion at this level, and suffered from the hangover of relegation a little bit like Micky Adams did here. I believe both could have us challenging for a play off position.

There's only two of those I would consider. But I think it's pointless until the take over is complete. Nobody in their right mind would come as manager, temporary or pernament, with the club in limbo. We are so tied up that we couldn't even attempt to get players in on loan like most of the clubs in the lower reaches of our division. Nothing will happen till MM nakes his move. At least we will have half a season to look forward to under his wing and hopefully the rest of the future.

well as every other week we hear of a different player falling out with RK i think it would be best to clear leicester city football club of his annoying presence. even those players who haven't fallen out with him probably have little or no respect for the man due to his decision making and tactical stupidity so its not the best idea to leave him there in any form

I don't think any of the Managers you have named would come here without MM's money.

Keep it to yourself Alkmaar :018:

Pardew is not bad - but then again should a squad as good as they have got be struggling as badly as they are?

Sammy Lee is a more exciting option - but still a gamble!

I still think Curbishley is the way forward

After a couple of years where i haven't been able to afford a season ticket, if we were to go and appoint Pardew, i would buy 1 this instant with the consequences to follow should i max out my overdraft!. He is proven in league 1 and IMO been very harshly treated what with the takeover and having 2 players who he maybe didnt want to sign albeit good players.

Ideal scenario would be for kelly to revert to being a number 2 with Pardew at the helm and stowell returning to his goalkeeping coach position.

Whats everyone else's thoughts on pardew?

He has been hard done by at West Ham even last season and the season they went up. Can he cut it in the PL? :102: I would rather have Curbishley though now he may be on his way to West Ham. ;)
