This Andy King article in the Times absolutely murders Puel.

It’s too long to cut and paste and behind a paywall...but it’s illuminating.

Can someone please paste the full interview on here for the benefit of the pecuniarily disadvantaged?

What the hell are we going to do without him?

It's a question that will need to be asked. At best he's got this season and one more you'd imagine. We're probably going to have to sign a proper replacement next summer.

An absolute legend. We'll only fully appreciate him when his replacement can't do what he can.
I believe we are preparing for life without him already.

During some of the preseason friendlies, he came across as the weak link at times.

He still has a lot to offer, and he will, however, you can't replace Jamie, he is unique, we can certainly evolve though, and we will!

Claude would have had him training with the U23s by now.

Jamie Vardy is the best striker a club like ours could realistically have, by which I mean a club that isn’t consistently qualifying for the Champions League. He is better than Haller, Kean, Jiminez, Giroud, Lacazette and Rashford and he will score more goals than any of them this season.
