My thought about this would be the same as the Cotterill one. Are we likely to go for a manager in employment at the moment, who would want a long contract, when we've no idea where we'll be next season or if they'll do awfully and we'll end up stuck with them.

I'm not sure about Thordarson. He has done a decent job at Notts, and he did well at Stoke as well, but I don' think he would be the man to keep us up. However, his Scandinavian links could be good and with Stoke he signed some great Scandinavian players in their promotion season a few years back.
