Three into Mottram Park don't go!

Things look bleak for the MdV, Sylla and Joe Hamill as far as any hopes of resurrecting their lcfc career goes. News now that they haven't gone to the 'training camp' at Mottram Hall and will therefore not be playing at either Macclesfield or Stockport.

Wesolowski has been included in the party although he won't be playing. The party consists of the 22 who played at Boston plus Louis Dodds.

I'm a little surprised, particularly in the case of MdV - but RK was clear that the door wasn't closed if they wanted to fight for a place when he spoke as the Boston squad was announced. Presumably he has seen nothing since then that suggests that any of the three are that keen to push it open. At this rate, I can't even see them sitting on the bench this season.

Ah yes. The squad is staying the week at Mottram Hall in Mottram Park up in Cheshire. We have talked about it on here before.

Yeah just saw it on the Merc site, was pretty suprised. Clear that they weren't gonna be used much this year, but I would still have expected them to travel with the squad and at least play some part...

Sounds as if RK rates Dodds quite highly. He said that "Dodds is coming with us because I see him as the future". Hopefully he can take any chances that he gets this year Dodds hasn't made any first team appearances yet has he?

I think it shows that they are further than down - and that they are actually out. It is clear here that they have done something, if only a 'sin of omission', that has offended RK and that we are unlikely to see them at all. If Dodds and Porter are being taken on the 'team-building jolly', he clearly has more intention of playing them than any of the three who have not been included.

It will take a lot of effort from them if they are going to get themselves back in the running and it doesn't sound as if any of them can be that bothered. They are on the way out, the only down-side being that in these circumstances we will not get even the smallest fee for any of these three players, all of whom have 2 years left on their contracts - but then we won't have to pay them either.

Perhaps we should stand-by for an announcement of extended contracts for Dodds and Porter.

Thanks Lazzer. I was aware of this....i've taken this offline with Boc so as not to go OT!!!!!..my question has been answered...so.......looks like the plan is to get shot of these 3 shysters....free up some wages to maybe get some fresh faces in....

Lets put 2 and 2 together here. Kelly has told them they arent automatic choices this season, in fact they are down the pecking order. He has subsequently told them to fight for their places. If they had shown anything in the way of doing this surely they would be rewarded with a place on the training camp rather than being dealt another kick in the teeth....

So I reckon Kelly's told them to go off and find another club by August deadline and given them time off to do so rather than prat about at the training camp where he'd hardly give them a game and it would be another room and bed to pay for (although MDV could have shared with Elvis:icon_wink )
