Wesolowski has been included in the party although he won't be playing. The party consists of the 22 who played at Boston plus Louis Dodds.

I shall retract my optimistic (on MDV's part) comments of yesterday and in earlier threads!

More imortantly, for the first time in 40+ years, I have the chance tomorrow to WALK to see my team in action! Even the prospect of seeing Douglas, Tiatto Elvis & Williams is made less miserable by not having to invest almost 4 hours in travelling...this could beat the real season hands down!
It'd be a feck of a WALK though!!!Willlow said:Its not that far for you to the Stockport game either is it

Mike Hunt Smells said:If we did this with the current LCFC team, the squad would be.

Maybury---McCarthy---Hughes---Kisnorbo
Hume-----Kenton-----Williams-----Tiatto

i would of thought number 6 would be in midfield and number 4 in defenceMike Hunt Smells said:No. It used to be something like this :-
GK - #1
LB - #3
RB - #2
CB - #5
CB - #6
LM - #11
RM - #7
CM - #4
CM - #8
FW - #9
FW - #10.
The England team still uses this to determine which player gets which number.
If we did this with the current LCFC team, the squad would be.

Maybury---McCarthy---Hughes---Kisnorbo
Hume-----Kenton-----Williams-----Tiatto

So to answer your question, Melts, squad numbers IMO do not have the same relevance as they used to. :icon_wink

Looking on the net, there seems to be quite a few Mottram Parks up in the north-west. I hope I haven't confused you. Mottram Hall, where the pleyers are, is between Prestbury and Wilmslow - just off to the north of the A538.
Will we be seeing you in The Flowerpot?
silkman said:No probs Boc - and alas, Flowerpot's out for me (for reasons to do with the terms and conditions attaching to my pass to see 2 pre-season friendlies this week!)
