Looks like they have got their thinking caps on and introduced a new pricing policy.Click Me

Seems like a good idea. Still only expect 10-12 thousand at the very most though. Especially if we play poorly tonight.

which would be a result as the usual attendance for this stage is about 4000

Why not make childrens tickets a £1 like we used to. Gets in more families, the kid put pressure on the parents to get season tickets = more money. Not to mention the fact that almost ever kid that goes will want a burger and drink.

I won't be going to this because im away, but I guess its good to try something diffrent to get the fans in, but as everyone knows the best way to sell tickets is by putting in a series of good performances on the Pitch.

Because they'll all go, be all excited about their first football match, the parents will already be contemplating buying a season ticket due to the excitement and euphoria they are currently feeling.

However, firstly, the kids will be in tears at half time because the hot dogs have sold out, Mum will be crying because the coffee has burnt her leg. 1 of the 7 yr olds will have already been thrown out for rattling his Thomas The Tank Engine sports rattle too loud, Dad will have wasted his £2.50 pie because he can't scrape it off the bottom of the tray and little Johnny will have tried to talk to Filbert at half time, upon wich he was dragged back by his hair to his seat by a steward, who is already in a bad mood because the police force refused his application again.

On top of all that we will lose 2-0 to Macclesfield and the whole crowd vow never, ever to come back to The Walkers Stadium again.

The club know this, hence why this isn't already in action

The initiative by the club is a good thing, rewarding season ticket holders. The kids for a quid idea sounds fine, but remember we already give them free season tickets for the league games, also the away team have to agree any pricing structure we propose. Just for once, I think the club have got this one right.

only if they are under 8 :icon_wink

and these games should be part of the our season ticket like they used to be that way alot more people would come to the game IMO

But then the season tickets would cost more, if only to give the Macc's their cut. You can't get owt for nowt these days.:frown:

Alright then, maybe I need a slight change of tact. I live in Birmingham - if Villa or Blues were offering tickets for less than a Fiver I would almost certinally go to this match. If you apply that principle to someone of similar age to me who currently supports Man U, Arse or Chelski and get them to come down we could get them on the pitch at half time and do a conversion. They would find the atmospehere good, the ques short and the stewerds freindly as this will proberly be the first match they've been to.

Only ideas.....

would love to but im actually sticking rusty nails in my eyeballs that night
