I guess you mean Avatars. I also agree, not through being a prude (sp), but my eldest daughter often talks to me while on my PC and it is not nice to see (or explain) and sometimes embarrassing when she asks Mummy what was that lady doing on Daddys computer

i don't have a problem with Joe's (just an example) avatar but it's a bit difficult to read a thread when there's some scantily clad young lady - While at work. if someone walks in and sees it (the picture!) i could be ni trouble.

can we turn avatars off in our profiles?............

No, I agree. Underwear is fine. And as much as the bird on Nottingham Foxs avatar has lovely norks. I don't want others to see them. It is hard enough trying to disguise the sites we visit anyway, without the "innocent" ones getting us into trouble

you could try using ghostzilla to view the site, it uses the same rendering engine as firefox & has same security benefits, tabbed browsing etc but is extremely handy for surreptitious browsing at work.

it blends in with whatever application you are supposed to be using at work & can be set to not display any images at all, best of all, if the boss starts approaching just move your mouse of screen & the page completely disappears, when the gaffer has fecked of again you just need to move your mouse side to side & the page magically reappears.
