It seems we’re holding on for dear life to 2015/16 almost at all costs. It’s blinding us to the obvious that we desperately need to move on from that glorious time. Our current plight is far from irreversible but demands an injection of thinking that has no connection with two years ago. Only then will the tough decision to move on and, subsequently clear out, the current squad begin. It’s not about forgetting or disrespecting what transpired in 2015/16 but evolving. The best are ruthless in their assessment of necessary change even if it means cutting ties with what got you there in the first place. As unromantic as it may seem, we should be looking to shed our former identity and look to moving on with a clear vision of what we see as the future of LCFC. No doubt the unprecedented level of success of two years ago caught the club by surprise. Who could have imagined. But surely we’ve had time to establish a new 5 year plan. Let the new cycle begin.

Welcome. Excellent first post.

I fear the owners will be loyal for a while longer yet. Also, who actually could come in? That's a major concern.
We missed Silva. Benitez wouldnt. Mancini gone. Martin O'Neill?

The only hope is that the owners who have all the power will act wisely and decisively. It's really sad that a decent number 2 is so out of his depth as a manager and the first priority is to appoint someone who has the right skills set to manage including giving a lead on player recruitment. The recruitment in recent times isn't a joke, its horrific. The old guard of players have gone from heroes to being a big problem - it looks like they are resisting change at all levels. In realistic terms it isn't practical to get rid of them all in one go - that would just seal our relegation but their phased exit should be seen as a positive and confirmation that the short title winning era is dead and buried and the club moves on.

Anybody. Literally anybody.

Paul Ince...Coco the Clown...I really don’t care.

It's remarkable that Shakespeare can have nine title winners and £150m worth of additions and make us appear to be total shit.

Our football over recent games is average Championship level. It's a disgrace.

Shakespeare has to go.

It's amazing to think how happy we all were in the Summer of 2016 that we managed to keep everyone bar Kante. Normally when a lesser light has a fabulous season it's the only one they get as the big boys get the cheque books out in the close season & decimate you (Mourinho's Porto, last season's Monaco) Then they return to being shite. We avoided all of that...& have still become shite. The really ****ing appalling thing is that it's unlikely any decent manager would want to come to a club that is clearly run by the players & if said players manage to get us relegated THEN they'll all **** off in the Summer to Watford, Burnley or Swansea. ****s.
