They didn't hold a " golden share ", they held one share to ensure proper information flows, etc. It was held in the name of T-C Sports Co.Inc. and has been sold to MM.
Thank you for the explanation.

"All Directors have agreed to step down immediately upon Completion save for
Malcolm Stewart-Smith, who will remain as a Non-Executive Director and
representative of T-C Sports, and Tony Lander. Milan Mandaric will assume the
position of Executive Chairman. Whilst Tim Davies will resign as a Director, he
will continue his role as Chief Executive Officer of the Company. The Investor
may exercise its right under the New Articles to appoint a majority of the board
of Directors as it deems appropriate for the successful running of the Company."
TD stays, in a non-exec role.
I would have thought that CEO was an exec role. The clue may be in the job title.
EGM - 10am 8th March 2007
47p per share. As i have said before 10p my arse. with another 40p if promoted in next three years. 10p if we are not.
The way I read it the shareholders are only guaranteed 10p per share - and they might not even get that for a few years. But if we get promoted they could get additional money.
The 47p is what MM is putting into the club as investment in new shares, not money that's going to shareholders.
But surely that was what was important, not what the shareholders recieve but what MM is prepared to invest directly into the club.
You are right. Some of us who were among the sceptics early on were making that point - looking at how he has apparently operated in the past I for one was very concerned that he would not make any direct equity investment. Having seen the terms of the deal I am happy to have been proved wrong on that point.

Moi aussi - however, to correct the Mercury once again, it's a total of £9 million, not the sodding £25 million they keep harping on about - however they are probably not capable of reading the bid document.
£9m was my forecast some weeks back (it was pretty obvious to most I would guess). Similar to OG I am pleasantly surprised that it is his own money and not a loan - good on him.
I am excited about the future again now.
