I did make reference to the forum rules in that thread, but as people ignored me I just deleted the whole thing. I haven't got time to go through and delete individual posts, and it was quite clear that the purpose of the thread was to help people steal stuff.
I've had enough stuff I've published stolen to know it's not a victimless crime, however much some people like to portray it that way.

I think BitTorrent is a good way to share stuff, football games for example that I cap for others and I also download myself. But I guess it's too associated to piracy and maybe the discussion was about that.

It is and was. I remember Mudvayne released one of their singles as a torrent on their official site once to reduce server strain when people downloaded it.
