I was laughing my head off at the Stage 2 finish (not for the massive crash).

Where Steegmann decided to pull a fast one on Boonen, he was the lead out man, got Boonen in a position to be the Belgian hero again. Steggman went to the side to let Boonen win, only to continue going at the same speed and take the stage win. I bet some harsh words were in the Quickstep hotel.

For stage 3, back into France

Brutal stage yesterday - injuries by the dozen - one of the favourites Kloden looks set to pull out. The Kazahstani 'Vinny' looked a mess after it yesterday.

And still Cancellara leads the way, slightly increasing his lead yesterday. The men were sorted from the boys - and they still ahven't seen a mountain.

BTW I see that ITV4 have the tour live tomorrow.

Be very interesting to see whether Millar can keep up with everyone on the mountains - I like the way he's lurking ready to pounce. Very unlucky yesterday but I doubt he will challenge on the mountains.

I see Cavendish is set to pull out after the weekend - T Mobile giving him a taste of the Alps for future tours.
