That'll be in like two weeks time from now? How much more would I possibly save with Megatrain?

Edit; just checked tickets two weeks prior to my travel. Can get tickets with Virgin for £1! That's shockingly cheap!!!

I think I see what you mean. I misunderstood Jeff's post and somehow thought that the £1 tickets where for bus rides ( which I try to avoid for ****ing reasons). So yes; senile!

You can also buy tickets for some of the Virgin services from http://www.Megabus.com but they've not got any yet for the date you want. I expect a suitable train for your journey will be available for £1 (+50p booking fee), in a couple of weeks. No ticket required for that, you just need the reference number they give you when you buy.

I've now bought three tickets for me and my friends for the grand total of £3.60 incl. booking fee. So all I need to do is to be at the station early and show some staff the reference number on a print out or confirmation mail on my phone. Correct?

It'll probably be several hundreds percent more expensive to get to and from the train than the actual train ticket.
