If you have to ask other people how to do simple stuff like this I don't know how you'll cope when you have to get a job.

Well obviously I'm not as bright as you am I ? Nasty ****er

Whilst not wishing to tread on your toes, I would point out that what is written on a website is not always what happens in real life. This is certainly so in the case of station barriers and Megatrain. It is often necessary to ask the question to find out when policy is different from practice.

Megabus - the driver carries a load sheet which contains the names and reference numbers of all intended passengers. He checks passengers on, except at Victoria Coach Station where it is usually done by another member of staff while the driver packs the luggage compartment.

Megatrain - no Megatrain staff. The reference number is checked by the Conductor on the train; he has a loading sheet. At open stations, there is no difficulty in reaching the platform but where barriers are in place, you have no ticket to show the staff or to operate the gates. Barrier staff are said to have loading sheets but I have never actually seen one - it seems to be enough to simply mutter, "Megatrain" to be allowed access.

SWWG might be able to say more if he is still around.

Thanks Boc,I will be travelling from Preston and I know they don't have a Ticket Barrier so I will be able to get on the train.
