Is it possible to buy an advanced season ticket from Leicester to Kettering and Kettering to Leicester? Its £8.70 both ways and doing it every week day is expensive.

i don't use the train so i wouldn't know where to start.

I can't find the calculator for a price at the moment.

According to that site as well, you can get a £9.30 cheap day return. Although this may be online only but I don't have enough knowledge on the subject, so I can't confirm.

Monthly = £152.50
3 Months = £457.40
6 Months = £914.70
Yearly = £1588.00


You should not be paying £8.70 each way at the moment though. There is a Standard Day Return that you can get before the Cheap Day Returns become available at 9:30 a.m. The SDR is £11.30. The CDR is £9.30.

Who told you that you had to buy a £8.70 ticket each way? It wasn't swwg was it? :icon_wink That was very bad advice.

As you can see, a weekly season ticket costs less than the price of 3½ Standard Day Returns and less than 2½ days travel the way that you have been doing it. A longer term season ticket will save you even more (and will also delay price rises when they take place).

Yes - but you still should not have been paying £8.70 each way.


A season ticket would even save on 5 days worth of Cheap Day Return tickets, so they will save you even more. And if for any reason you wanted to travel at the weekend it would be valid for that as well - and also any trips that you might want to make to Market Harborough.

You don't get that option. But some domain registration companies will allow you to keep you address private by using their address instead, usually for an extra fee.
