I've got a Samsung Galaxy S5. This is to replace a Sony Xperia T. I realise I should probably know this already, but is there any obvious way to transfer the contacts from the old phone to the new phone?

Am I missing something? Why would it be any more complicated than putting your SIM in your new phone?

If it's set to sync your contacts with your Google account it should automatically add the contacts when you log in to Google on your new phone.

I didn't think about that. Hopefully that's what will happen then!

If it doesn't there should be an option in contacts to export to SD card in .vcf format. Do that, pop SD card in new phone and import the .vcf file the same way.

If no SD card you can export to internal storage, transfer to PC then new phone or Bluetooth directly phone to phone.

Google should work but it's a handy tool if it doesn't as I had to do the above for my mums phone a few weeks ago.
