Presumably now the blocker (MA) has gone, Milan can resurrect all these deals he was vetoing.

Indeed, I would have thought that some players may come in, but no idea who.

Hopefully, purely from the annoyance of repeatedly hearing about him, Hughes will go somewhere - his agent seemed certain he wouldn't be with us come September

Wouldn't expect anyone to sign today, though Milan might try.

From his perspective he might be thinking "Great now Allen's gone I can sign whoever I want", but who in their right mind (especially big names like Murphy) are going to sign for a club with no manager, where they have no idea where they'll be fitting in in a couple of weeks time?

It's a shame, because we do still need a few extra players for a promotion/playoff push regardless of who the gaffer is I'd say.

The likes of Ngotty was lined up long before Allen came here.

Still didn't sign until Allen got here though. Players may agree to join, but surely they're not actually going to want to sign on the dotted line until they know who's in charge?

Hopefully I'm wrong and we sign Murphy and a left winger today at least, but I doubt it.

Oh one thing I wouldn't be suprised about... if beaumont was right with the story about her friend speaking to Allen the other day after he got fired, then I probably wouldn't be suprised to see Henderson and Kisnorbo leave. Especially since Fulham have quite regularly been linked with Kisnorbo (admittedly not lately) and have just sold Zat Knight.

Basically, a friend of Beaumont's saw Martin Allen with Adie Whitbread and Damien Doyle, as well as Henderson and Kisnorbo, in Fat Cat's the night he'd been fired, and Allen was there giving the reasons why Mandaric had forced him out.
I just think that Kisnorbo and Henderson going for a drink with the fired coaching staff who have just been sacked by an angry Milan might not be the best idea. Or that if they are angered by the situation at how Allen has been treated they might jump at the chance to leave.
Pure speculation on my part though, and really is me putting 2 and 2 together and getting 684.23
