I'm in London tomorrow and was really relying on the tube so gonna have to work out a bus route which is going to take twice as bloody long.

Bunch of inconvenient ****wits. In this economic climate I can't believe anyone is going on strike over pay. Sack the lot of them, I'm sure they will be able to find replacements in no time at all.

I'm going to visit my sister in Devon for a few days, and I've got to get from Liverpool Street to Paddington. Can't be arsed with buses as they'll be rammed, so I'll walk to Moorgate, get a train from there to Finsbury Park, a train from there to King's Cross and then walk to Paddington. It had better not rain!

I'm not really sure what an 'inconvenient ****wit' is, but strike action is always a last resort and usually happens when management are acting unreasonably and have received huge bonuses themselves but won't negotiate with the workforce over their pay and conditions.

Without knowing all the ins and outs of the situation, I believe this strike is about more than pay.

*edit* Sacking them would also be against the law, would cost far more than any negotiated pay increase and would cause a hell of a lot more disruption.

Should make for an interesting journey for Mrs SJN to get to the Royal Marsden tomorrow.

How dare they nearly get the England game called off. As Didier Drogba says "its a disgrace, its a fookin disgrace".
