Why is Steve Walsh suggesting we use a defender as a keeper?

There may be those who unjustly are mocking your comprehension skills and pointing out that my original post was perfectly clear. They are being unfair since I remember when David Martin played for the England Under 17 team it was pointed out that he had been a centreback until halfway through his school career.

You are quite right; a slip of the keyboard. I have sometimes wondered whether he believed League One was another name for the Premiership.

I remember looking at the Bulgarian team at one point and noticing that four of them played for English clubs - I may misremember here but I think it was Man U, Liverpool, Tottenham in the Prem and Leicester in League One.

Don't forget the two Petrovs from Villa and Man City;)

I often think this with foreign players and wonder whether that's why the leagues keep getting renamed. It's not a bad plan: name all your leagues confusingly enough so that people from abroad think they're all the top flight.

You must be right, because all Johnny Foreigners are plain stupid, aren't they ?

Yeah, they must think Kidderminster and Ebbslfleet of the Blue Square Premier have made it all the way to the top flight.

Besides, you can just use RTE to change his Goalkeeping stat to 20.

It's not really a case of being stupid, I expect if the same happened in Bulgarian football I'd struggle to keep track of which one's which.

I'm certain that they and their agents would take a moment to verify the facts before flying off and joining the club.

To be honest, I was joking. It was, if you will, the latest in an ever-longer string of failures of mine to say something funny.

It's well known that he was brought to Leicester blindfolded and was told he had joined Chelsea and kept locked in a hotel room (without the benefit of a tele) except for matches and training sessions. Not speaking English, it was several months before he realised that he was actually playing in League 1.

His first away game was at Stockport. I think that might have given him some clues.

I wonder how long it will be before people wake to the possibility that in terms of fitness Tunchev may have been ****ed long before he ever came into English football and that he and everybody else knew that the third division was to be the highest of his ambitions. Perhaps that thinking was what made us able to afford him.

Weren't CSKA Sofia in deep financial shit and begging him to take the first offer that came in so that they didn't get relegated two divisions or, more likely, go out of business? Surely if he was that ****ed it would have been picked up in the medical? And presumably he wouldn't have cost as much as he did?

Looking at his attendance record, he's never had a major injury lay-off in his career. CSKA were ****ed and facing relegation to the third division unless they sorted out their debts.
