Sense at last, another batsman - Du Toit - in. Wyatt in as well, instead of Crowe and Cliff. Since crowe didn't bowl it makes perfect sense!

Had them in all sorts of trouble after 15 overs but Breese has put Durham back in command with about 32 off 15 balls

Great bowling by Wyatt and Naik today

7 needed off 2 balls and Du Toit hits a 6!!!!! offonly his second ball against Collingwood!

Excellent win, I was going to post how one bad over in the field had cost us in this game as it did against Yorkshire - but don't need to now!

Allenby and Nixon - what a superb partnership.

Made hard work of it in the finish.
35 from 4 overs with 8 wkts in hand, should be comfortable by 20-20 standards.

A win is a win though:038:

What do you mean....on the contrary it was a perfectly timed run chase :icon_bigg

Durham didn't play fair though, they had their England players on show. Just out of order :018:

I think you might have been sweating 4 balls into that final over.
Tbh i thought they had fecked it up.:102:

I love test match cricket as much as anyone, and it 100% needs to remain the No 1 format in the game, but Twenty20 really is a superb game. As they were saying on Sky yesterday the amazing thing is that there is still an "ebb and flow" of the match, even in 20 overs. And you don't actually get that much in a 50 over match any more, as once someone is 30-3 it is game over.

The future of cricket should be a balance between 4/5 day, and Twenty20. I can't see 50 over surviving.

I hope that they will more or less stick to this side/ balance now. We were clearly a batter light before. Du Toit may not have settled into any sort of consistency - but it is known that on his day he can hit the ball hard.
