Hughes looked a very good player when we signed him and like so many others he appears to have suffered at the hands of our fantastic coaches and the tactical genuises known as messers Levein and Kelly who continually managed to stifle and suppress most of our more talented individuals.
Under the right coaching and a manager brave enough to be positive and play decent passing football Hughes and many others would show week in and week out their obvious talent
I totally agree as well. And it was a bloody disgrace when he was subbed and was got cheered off (can't remember which match - probably Derby home).
The Birmingham match when he came was one of the better performances I've seen from him. Let's hope NW is the man to invigorate his career at City.
