also another thing stopping kelly apllying for the job might be that the new manager (if not RK) won't be too pleased that a man who wanted his job is still at the same club.

so if he doesn't declare his interest, he will have a much better chance of staying on at the club under a new manager. maybe become assistant?

IMO RK would love to be approached and offered the job on a more permanent basis, but if it doesnt happen he is leaving himself an opportunity to continue his coaching role.
