After saying I wouldn't be getting a season ticket I'm considering doing a major U turn.

Nothing to do with anything I've seen pre-season, purely a financial decision.

I had thought I'd probably go to half the home matches.
That would cost £23 each for the cheapest ticket, plus £1 booking fee, for say 12 matches. Total cost £288. The cheapest season tickets cost £275. So it would be stupid to spend more to go to only half the matches. Assuming they still have some £275 seats left.

I'm going into the ticket office today to buy an Accrington ticket, I may walk out with more than I had planned. :)

Go Jeff! you know it makes sense :038:

You could always 'sell' the matches you cannot go to to a mate at a tenner a time to recoup some of the cost.

They certainly had plenty of them left on Friday, but whether you will enjoy sitting low down oin the east or west wing is a tottlay different matter.

Having said that if Saturday's gate is anything to go by, there will be plenty of seats empty and you shold be able to sneak to a better seat most games.

:038: :038:

If only Boc would follow suit .....

Boc will not be following suit. Over £100 already wasted before the season begins has shown him that his eminently sensible decision was the correct one for him to make.

You will be sorry when you are missing all those goals and wins as we take the league by storm!

I would guess that part of the £100 includes your trip that involved standing forlornly in Mansfield's car park, according to my sources!;)

Me and my Dad once worked it out and realised the saving we make and bough a ST on that. I know I am going to buy to lose money this season. Just when I buy a ST, I find it a duty to go to all of the matches which I wouldn't do this year.

Having said that if Saturday's gate is anything to go by, there will be plenty of seats empty and you shold be able to sneak to a better seat most games.

I said they are the range of 25k/26k tickets sold for Blackpool. So how would they get round it if Jeff wanted a ST for £275 but all of them tickets in the area were sold out for opening day?

A few mates sauntered down on saturday for the Pompey game fully expecting to renew their season tickets at the same time. Got a shock when their seats had gone for the Blackpool game already didnt they :icon_bigg Having to sit elsewhere and then move back to their old seats.

They're only available in the West Stand, not the East Stand.

The one I got is fairly close to where we sat for the Notts County game.

My uncle and cousins just spent £40 quid on 3 tickets if they did that evry match that would cost £920! season tickets would have been £440!

You will be sorry you said that - it isn't going to happen.

Why, are you going to do something to stop it?

I am going to do everything in my power to help it happen - cheer at all the home matches, spread the word to my friends that this team is worth going to see, which will add to the gates, which will improve the atmosphere, which will help the players play better, which means we will score more goals and win more matches!

What are you going to do to help our team other than your "Woe! Woe! and thrice Woe!" bit?

Don't you even believe in the power of positive thought? You do not even have to buy a ticket to do that!
