This match finishes on Tuesday but the second test starts on Saturday followed by one-dayers until the 15th. So I guess neither Smith or Taylor will be in the championship side anytime soon, meaning we don't have much option when it comes to the batting line-up.

Well I'm sure there must be some flexability. I imagine championship cricket is more benefitial than U19 tests.

Godleman played yesterday for Middlesex when hes the best young bat in the country by a mile. I guess if we reassure the ECB that we will play Taylor and Smith then we'll get them.

Although on the other hand, there might be a good saffie floating around somewhere

Well Smith also made 146 in second XI and the official site suggests he could face Warwicks on Weds, so you could be right.
