Because of the road works by the old bridge so anyone going by car will need to find an alternative route.

bollax im coming from Melton on saturday is this going to be a problem :102:

Shouldn't be an issue, even if you park at the stadium you can approach from the Aylestone Road side of the ground and if you don't park at ground there's lots of ways to get to the surrounding area without going down upperton road

No one mentioned Melton Road. But you should enter Leicester via Melton Road, so the same thing would apply anyway.

i am coming from mowbray rangers ,asfordby hill ,Melton mowbray to the walkers after my lots football festival ,whats the best way to get there please ,as im going to be a bit tight on time ,we should be leaving around 1pm to goto the walkers i hope :icon_conf:icon_conf

Follow the signs to Leicester. When you get to the roundabout closest to th city centre (not the roundabout with Sainsbury's next to it, the one after that), turn left onto St Matthews Way.

Take the third exit off the next roundabout (the second exit is for the shopping park place), onto St George Way.
Follow the road until you get to the Railway Station, and turn right onto Tigers Way.
At the end of the road you have to turn left, then at the traffic lights bear right (but don't turn right) and go past Morrisons, keep going straight on and you'll end up at the ground.

I heard on the radio this morning that junctions 32-35 on the M1 will be closed - cant remember whether anyone would be heading to the ground from that direction but thought I would post it anyway. The are demolishing the cooling towers I think.
