I will kick anyone in the face who sings that song, even if they are scary looking, I'll just have to run away.

Well you must be a girl with shoes like that
she said you know me well
I seen you and little steven and Joanna
Round the back of my hotel oh yeah

Someone said you was asking after me
But I know you best as a blagger
I said tell me your name is it sweet?
She said my boy it's dagger oh yeah

I was good she was hot
Stealin' everything she got
I was bold she was over the worst of it
Gave me gear thank you dear bring yer sister over here
Let her dance with me just for the hell of it

Well you must be a boy with bones like that
She said you got me wrong
I would've sold them to you
If I could've just have kept the last of my clothes on
Call me up take me down with you
When you go I could be your regular belle
And I'll dance for little steven and Joanna
Round the back of my hotel oh yeah

I was good she was hot
Stealin everything she got
I was bold she was over the worst of it
Gave me gear thank you dear bring yer sister over here
Let her dance with me just for the hell of it

Chelsea Chelsea I believe that when your dancing
Slowly sucking your sleeve
That all the boys get lonely after you leave
And it's one for the Dagger and another for the one you believe

We're going to have a physically big team this year. Particularly if he starts with Berner and Neilson (when available).
What with Brown, Hobbs, Howard, King, N'Guessin, Berner, Neilson and Wellens(who didn't look small when i saw him a Chesterfield) there's a lot of height in the team

That's not been an unreasonable strategy for getting out of this division in the last few years.

Am I the only one who thought Nicky Adams was really good when he came on? I thought he actually played better than Wellens during the period when they were both on the pitch. If NP went for...

Oakley Wellens Adams Dyer

I wouldn't be too worried (but I'm sure he won't).

Nigel was certainly not impressed with Adams giving the ball away at one point and made his feelings known. I thought Adams was OK and certainly did better than King who had a very poor first half. I would not rate Adams better than Wellens though who showed some very good touches and vision. It is much too soon to judge Wellens but I saw enough to make me optimistic.

Dyer did very well and on todays performance does not deserve to be dropped. Obviously the coaching staff will know whether Nguessan is a better winger and it would be unfair to judge Dany on a poor performance in a friendly when he was out of position.

I do not think people have given Luke O'Neal enough credit. It was the first time I had seen him and thought he looked very promising.

Chris Weales made no impression on me which in retrospect shows that the back four did rather well.

Incidentally it may have only been a friendly and the FA may have a Respect Campaign but that did not stop Nigel using some fun language to the linesman.

I am an admitted Blue Mongie who enjoys Left Side Right Side but even I was irritated by the Chelsea Dagger,

N'Guessan

O'Neill

Weale (this one actually annoys me - people arbitrarily putting an 's' at the end of certain names. There's no 's', there's no suggestion of an 's', don't put one there)

Good. Anyone with a working brain should be.

I'm not a fan of Chelsea Dagger but I think the club don't give a shite about us and they are not going to change it, so stop moaning about a bloody song when we score, just concentrate on going nuts with your mates and you won't even hear the damn song.

Blue Maniac you are quite right. I am clearly rusty after the close season. I am just glad I did not have to spell the name of the midfielder we got from Liverpool.

I blame Warrington Wolves Rugby League Club who were the first to bring in music when they scored a try (Tom Hark) they had it to themselves for a while and it had a sort of appeal but now everyone does it in Rugby, Football, Cricket etc. I'm in the "scrap it" camp.

I took my 4 year old daughter to her first game yesterday. She went to sleep in the first half and screamed in terror when Fryatt scored and the Dagger started.

There was very little of interest in the entire match. A few observations though:

Weale - Looks to have a good kick on him. Decent handling in the air but one shot bounced away from him rather worringly. He also appears to be be one of those keepers who scares you witless with overplaying when under pressure from opposing players.

Brown - Didn't see a lot of him last season. My view on this evidence is that he's a great communicator and loves an aerial duel. However, he will be taken apart by anyone with a bit of pace or skill.

Wellens - He seemed to be on a totally different wavelength to the rest of the team which led to a number of misplaced passes and confusion. Despite the fact that I rate him as a good signing, he was very poor in this game.

N'Guessan - He's not a centre forward. On the few occasions he got a chance to strtch his legs, he didn't give any indication of his utube prowess.

Adams - Looks to have come along a lot. Not far off a starting place on this evidence.

O'Neill - Reminded me very much of Mattock. We could well have a decent right back here.

Fryatt - Took his goal well and didn't seem to be suffering from a lack of sharpness due to his curtailed preseason. Should definitely start on Saturday on this evidence.

Howard - Comfortably the best player on the pitch.

Did the Mercury reporter leave the Chesterfield game early or something?

This is from this report going in the paper
"It looked like a second successive 0-0 for City until fans' favourite Fryatt provided the vital breakthrough five minutes from time. Howard was integral in the build-up as he set up Richie Wellens who put Fryatt clear."

why do people keep going on about HUME he did not score that many goals for us and fuked off after we got relegated! well over rated by city fans and got smacked in the face by a great defender that i would love here at the walkers! barnsley player now not city!! hello barnsley!!! do one canadian international! we are back in the championship dont need you or joey gudtwatsoin ! not about money just about winning

A good example of the kind of football fan that Tedfoxx mentioned earlier in this thread. And in our own ranks ? :icon_sad:
